SPC Entrepreneurship Scheme Pitching Day

On the SPC Entrepreneurship Scheme Pitching Day held at the school hall last Saturday, groups of Form 3 and Form 4 students presented their ideas on how to make the community a better and inclusive place to live in.

We launched the entrepreneurship scheme in the summer in collaboration with the Alumni Association. Student participants were asked to apply design thinking and entrepreneurship skills to develop innovative solutions to problems faced by residents in the Central and Western District.

Three distinguished alumni served on the judging panel on the pitching day. They were Prof. Howard Lam (Class of 1981), Director of Executive MBA Programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong; Mr. Ken Yeung (Class of 1982), CEO and Executive Director of Tom Group; and Mr. Ivan Wong (Class of 1990), Chief Executive of Ocean Park.

Results of the pitching event:
Best Project Award: All Stars Mix & Match
My Favourite Presentation Award: Orca
2nd Runners-up: Orca & The Centa
1st Runners- up: The Solutions
Champion: All Stars Mix & Match

The student teams will receive seed funding and start a pilot project in September.
