Form One Orientation Day

The Form One Orientation Day took place in the School Hall last Saturday afternoon.

The event kicked off with the Principal, Mr Dennis Yuen, offering a warm welcome to our incoming batch of Form One students and their parents. Mr Yuen then introduced them to the values, missions and vision of the College as a local Anglican boys’ school with a history of 170 years.

After the Principal’s address, Mr C.Y. Li, Chairman of the SPC Parent-Teacher Association, spoke on how a close partnership between home and school is conducive to students’ growth and development in their formative years.

The rest of the Senior Management Team, consisting of Vice Principals, Mrs Y.H. Chung and Mr W.H. Wong, and Assistant Vice Principals, Mr C.L. Wong and Ms K.Y. Ng, then took the audience through the essentials of studying at St. Paul’s College.

The parents and students were also informed by respective teachers-in-charge of the latest developments in our junior forms. They included the ICT-assisted Form 1 English curriculum; ALPS, the school-based Other Learning Experience programme; the STEM programme conducted at our Innovation Centre; and the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) initiative.

The day concluded with the parents meeting the form teachers, while the new Form 1 students attended an orientation session conducted by the prefects.

The College would like to thank the parents for taking the time to visit us. We wish our Form One students every success in the new school year.
