Administrative Assistant / Student Counselor for Special Educational Needs Team (14 April to 31 August 2023)

  • To provide key backup and support for the SEN Co-ordinator in administrative, clerical and professional support capacities.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of meetings, and both private and confidential discussions, as well as assist SEN Co-ordinator and Student Counsellors in administration and planning activities.
  • To work with other support personnel at the College on projects of common interest.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • University graduate with knowledge in special educational needs preferred.

中文辯論隊導師服務22-23年度

本校有意於本學年邀請導師指導學生、參加學界辯論賽。歡迎個人或教育機構來函提供上述服務。詳情如下﹕

一、服務內容

  • 每星期一節常規課程,時間由2:30-3:45p.m.;
  • 教授及指導隊員分析辯題、收集資料、撰寫辯稿、模擬對辯等;
  • 訓練隊員在聽、說、讀、寫以及批判思維的能力;
  • 帶領隊員參與學界辯論比賽;

二、服務日期

2022年10月至2023年8月,常規課程及對外比賽約90節課

三、導師資歷

  • 現役或前大專辯論員;
  • 曾任職中學辯論隊一年以上;
  • 熟悉學界大型賽事規則;
  • 樂於和年青人相處

The College is looking for an Economics Tutor to teach an Online Enrichment Course of Economics for F.6 students to further improve their HKDSE results from September 2022 to December 2022.

Responsibilities:

  • Explain key Economics concepts and give a detailed analysis of HKDSE questions
  • Develop students’ examination skills and answering techniques, especially on application questions and DBQ
  • Share his/her first-hand experiences and strategies in the public exam
  • Evaluate and grade students’ work

Course date: Sessions from September to December 2022
Course size: 10 to 15 F.6 students

Coaching Service for the English Debate Team

To ensure the sustainable development of the English Debate Team, we are looking for a dedicated and committed English debate coaching service provider who can equip our students with essential debating and communication skills for the academic year 2022-2023.


Responsibilities

The debate coach’s role is to:

  • hold weekly practice sessions from 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm;
  • teach team members debating techniques, such as formulating arguments, making rebuttals and critical reasoning;
  • develop debaters’ oracy skills, such as fluency, organisation and language patterns;
  • sustain participants’ interest in the intellectual activity;
  • coach students for external competitions; and
  • assist in organising and adjudicating debate competitions.

Service Period: October 2022 -- April 2023


Experience

We require someone who:

  • has extensive experience in local and/or international debating competitions;
  • has a thorough understanding of different debating formats, such as the Local Schools Style, the World Schools Style and the British Parliamentary Style;
  • has preferably debate coaching experience at the secondary school level;
  • is knowledgeable about socioeconomic issues; and
  • displays a high command of the English language.

Hourly rate commensurate with experience: $300 -- $600
