The opening ceremony on 10 March marked the beginning of this year's SDG Action and Awareness Month, focusing on important themes such as energy saving, upcycling, mental wellness, and racial equality.
The event featured an exciting lineup of activities designed to engage students and promote awareness. Participants tested their aim at the Nerf Gun Recycling Target Shooting Challenge and explored racial equality through a specially designed board game created by the committee. Students also spread hope for the SDGs by creating unique stickers and cards, while showcasing their knowledge in a Kahoot quiz competition centered around energy-saving practices, exclusively for Form 4 and 5 students in the week following the opening ceremony.
From 17 to 20 March, an open session was held during lunchtime, featuring booths that promoted sustainability and offered delicious, sustainable food and drink options.
This month-long initiative successfully raised awareness, encouraged action, and fostered a sense of community among students, all aimed at creating a brighter and more sustainable future. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Student Sustainability Society, the Sustainability in Education Team, and all participants for their incredible contributions!
