The Form One Bridging Course 2021-2022

This year’s Form 1 Bridging Course took place between 16th and 20th August. 98.9% of F.1 students enrolled and 75% of them achieved full attendance.

More than half a dozen teachers were involved in the design of learning activities, and among them 6 Chinese and English teachers delivered the 5-day course. Apart from the teachers, 21 F.3-5 student helpers from the Students’ Association, Prefects’ Council and Guidance Team were recruited to give help to the newcomers throughout the week.

The course helped students settle into class routine in St. Paul’s College, and equipped them with study skills to take on their new role as independent, brave and responsible learners.

The students had lessons that focused on fundamentals consolidation and essential e-learning skills building. They were engaged in a wide range of reading, listening, writing and speaking activities.

The students also visited the school library, attended a sharing session about note-making techniques, and obtained some self-care tips and advice from the College’s social worker, Mr. Dominic Li. They also got to know their classmates and the College better with the help of the student helpers, club organisers and uniform groups.

We wish the Form 1 students a smooth transition and a happy and exciting school year.
