Presentation of Framed Rubbing of School Name Signage to Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives

On 24 November, we presented a framed rubbing of the monumental College name signage to the Most Revd Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of HKSKH, at the Bishop’s House. The rubbing was made by Dr Karen Fong at the original site of the College in Glenealy, Central this past July.

We greatly appreciate Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives and Dr Karen Fong, a parent of two sons studying at St Paul’s College and St Paul’s College Primary School respectively, for their contributions to the collaboration project, without which the replica would not have been successfully created.

In attendance were:

The Most Revd Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of HKSKH;
The Rt Revd Matthias Der, Bishop of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island;
The Rt Revd Dr Thomas Soo, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Western Kowloon;
The Revd Prof Philip Wickeri, Advisor to the Archbishop on Theological and Historical Studies and Provincial Archivist for the HKSKH;
Dr. Ruiwen Chen, Researcher, The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives;
Dr Arnold Cheng, Chairman, St. Paul’s College Council;
Mr Dennis Yuen, Principal, St. Paul’s College;
Mr Michael Mak, Headmaster, St. Paul’s College Primary School; and
Dr Karen Fong, Conservator.
